I have a large patch of Japanese Anemones (Anemone tomentosa 'Robustissima') in my side flower garden. They bloom for a few weeks in late summer, attracting a lot of bees. The blossoms have a lot of lovely fuzz on the back of their petals (the word tomentosa means wooly). The pink flowers float over the leaves on long stems.

I grew Moonflowers (Ipomoea alba) for the first time this year. They are a kind of night blooming morning glory that is about 6 inches across. They have a delicious smell that you can get lost in. Amazingly, they open quickly in the evening and close up when the morning sun hits them.

My garden is really feeling like the end of Summer today. These are a Japanese Anemones. I have had them for years; they bloom prolifically and reliably.

I am so excited to be at SOMI today to chat with gallery visitors. We have a wonderful farmers market adjoining our gallery and some mellow guitar music wafting through our historic space. Here is what some of my photographs look like in the gallery.
I am very excited to announce that starting today (September 1st), I will be selling prints through SOMI Fine Art Gallery in Flemington, NJ. SOMI Fine Art Gallery is located in the heart of Flemington in the historic Stangl Pottery Factory Building at 50 Mine Street.
